Add a task

There are two ways of adding a task to IODD, depending on the rights you have been assigned:

  • From "Company tasks
  • From "My tasks

To understand the difference between the two notions, please consult the article: "Company tasks" vs "My tasks".

When it comes to creating a task, the difference is as follows

  • "Company Tasks" only allows you to create a task for the company you're working for.
  • "My tasks" allows you to create a task for all the companies to which you have access, regardless of which company you're in.
    • Please note: categories and participants are automatically updated according to the selected company.

Click on

to open the entry form

Please note: in My Tasks, there is an additional field for selecting the company to which you wish to assign the task.

The rest of the form remains identical.

  • Name: Name of the task
  • Category: Category in which the task is to be classified.
    • Warning: If a category is missing, see the "Add a category" paragraph (only from company tasks). Once the category has been added, the drop-down menu is automatically updated, so there's no need to refresh the page.
  • Description: Task description.
  • Responsible: Assign a person responsible for monitoring the task.
  • Participant(s): Assign one or more people to the task who will be able to interact with it.
    • Please note:  These people may be employees of the company or employees of companies connected to the company (e.g. employees of the trustee, a consultant with access to the company, etc.).
  • Priority: Level of priority
  • Deadline: Deadline for completing the task.
  • Task status: Assign a status to the task.
  • Confidential: If this box is checked, only the creator and participants can access the task.
  • Recurrence: Allows you to set a recurrence for the task, i.e. when the task is closed, a new task is automatically created at the desired periodicity.

Then press

and the task will be added to the list

or press

and you'll be automatically redirected to the task you've just created.
